The London Musicals in Seville

In The London Musicals in Seville, renowned Sevillian conductor Alfonso Casado reunites with his talented friends—regular performers on the stages of London’s West End, theatres across the UK, and venues worldwide—to present a carefully curated selection that spans over 80 years of musical theatre history.

In this special evening, the powerful passion of the ROSS (Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra) will shine through a wide range of musical styles, accompanied by the spectacular voices of our four soloists. Audiences will enjoy timeless classics such as Oklahoma!, My Fair Lady, Cats, Sunset Boulevard, The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Chess, Les Misérables, The Little Mermaid, and Company—alongside beloved Disney favorites like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen, and modern hits including Dear Evan Hansen and Mamma Mia!.

The ROSS 2025/26 season is structured around three major symphonies by Gustav Mahler. Conductor Irene Delgado Jiménez presents several of the composer’s works in an educational concert designed to deepen the audience’s understanding and appreciation.

TOBIAS SCHWENCKE: Carmen

Premiere of Carmen, the 1918 film directed by Ernst Lubitsch, presented in the ARTE CINE CONCERT format, synchronized with a new score by Tobias Schwencke, performed live by the ROSS. This premiere is supported by the ARTE television network, for which Schwencke’s new composition was recorded.
A co-production of the ROSS and the Teatro de la Maestranza, in collaboration with the Seville European Film Festival.
